How to get a work permit in China?
由于外国人有其母语优势且对其本国的文化和生活习惯有深入的了解，很多学校或者培训机构会更倾向于聘用外教。外教需求渐长，你有没有考虑过来中国当老师呢？
Because of being a native speaker and in-depth understanding of their own culture and living habits, foreigners usually are popular choice for many schools or training institutions. The demand for foreign teachers is growing. Have you ever considered working in China as a teacher?
先来看看在中国当外教（以英语为例）要满足哪些条件吧！
Teachers in China (take English teacher for example) now must have:
1、本科以上学历
A bachelor's degree or higher.
2、拥有英语国家的公民身份以及英语需达到母语水平
Citizenship of an English-speaking country and native-level English.
3、有相关的语言教学资格证书（TEFL，TESL，TESOL，TKT，CELTA……）
Relevant language teaching qualifications.
4、至少两年的教学经验
A minimum of two years’ teaching experience
5、无犯罪记录
No criminal records.
*取得教育类/语言类/师范类学士及以上学位、所在国教师资格证书、符合要求的国际语言教学资质证书的，满足这三点中的一点可免除工作资历证明。
Those who have obtained a bachelor's degree or above in education/language/teaching, or a teacher's qualification certificate in the host country, or an international language teaching qualification certificate that meets the requirements, will be no need to prove working experience.
以上条件都满足了就可以马上出发中国当老师吗？且慢！还有最重要的事没说呢！申请来华签证！而且必须是工作签证。

申请签证所需材料：
Documents required for visa application:
1、《外国专家来华工作许可通知》（由雇主申请）
Notice of Work Permit for Foreign Experts in China (applied by the employer).
2、在中国驻国外大使馆或教育部留学服务中心认证的学历证明
Educational certificates certified by the Chinese embassies or the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange
3、无犯罪证明
Proof of no criminal record.
4、两年以上工作资历证明（如有）
Proof of working experience for more than 2 years (if any)
5、体检证明
Physical examination report.
如果是在中国境内学校毕业一年内的外国留学生，可以直接在中国境内将学生签证转为工作签证。如有需要，可随时联系我们。
If you are a foreign student who graduate with a master’s degree from a university in China within one year, you can directly transfer your student visa to a work visa in China. If needed, feel free to contact us.
有了签证，入境中国就无太大问题了。但是如果想要在华工作并顺利拿到劳动报酬，除了签证，你还要申请来华工作许可。因为无论在华从事何种职业，如果没有来华工作许可，就会被认定为非法就业，劳动关系是不受中国法律保护的，甚至还会被罚款或驱逐出境。
With a visa, entering China is not a big problem for you now. However, apart from a visa, if you want to work legally in China and get paid, you need to apply for a work permit in China. Because no matter what job you are engaged in in China, without a work permit, your labor relations are not protected by Chinese law. And you will even be fined or deported due to illegal employment.
持签证入境后15日内就要申请《外国人工作许可证》。申请流程如下：
You should apply for a Work Permit within 15 days after entering the country. Procedures are as follows.
一、网上申请前需准备材料。
Firstly, prepare some documents as required before applying.
1、有效的签证或居留许可
Valid visa or residence permit.
2、护照或国际旅行证件
Your passport or international travel document.
3、体检证明
Physical examination report.
4、聘用合同
Employment contract.
4、随行家属信息（如有）
Information of accompanying family members (if any).
*所有上传的材料都需要是完整彩色扫描件或彩色照片。
All uploaded documents need to be full color scans or color photographs.
二、网上申请。
Second, online application.
请登录“外国人来华工作管理服务系统”，提交申请。
Log in to the “Service System for Foreigners Working in China” to submit your application.
三、报送书面材料
Thirdly, submit paper documents.
网上申请约5个工作日后，可再次登录系统查询申请进度，若审核通过，则可准备前往受理机构报送纸质版材料(网申时上传至系统的全部材料)。
About 5 working days after the online application, you can log in to the system again to check the application progress. If the review is passed, you can prepare to submit the following paper documents at the processing department. All documents uploaded to the system during online application should be submitted in paper form now.
四、领取《外国专家来华工作许可证》
At last, obtain the work permit.
材料报送，现场核验无误后，即可领取《外国专家来华工作许可证》。
The paper documents will be submitted and verified on-site, if no problems, you can obtain the "Foreigner's Work Permit" directly.
完成这些之后就可以准备来中国啦。但最近疫情反复，出行前请仔细查看机票信息以及出发地和目的地的防疫要求，做好个人防护。
